BaskanPower LLP hydroelectric power plants’ carbon offset documentation validation

ECO-Astana NR LLP provided services on Validation of monitoring plan/project documentation of BaskanPower LLP hydroelectric power plants’ carbon offset project.

Upper Baskan HPP-2, 3 are located on the Baskan River in a picturesque area near the village of Ekiasha in the Zhetysu region. The stations are the second and third stages of a cascade complex of three HPPs in the upper section of the river. The total installed capacity is 14.9 MW.

To ensure compliance with the validation principles specified in the standard ST RK ISO 14064-3, validators of the Validation and Verification Body of ECO-Astana NR LLP conducted a site visit to verify and confirm the data provided by the project applicants.

As a result of the work, an Expert Opinion was issued.
